Community Giving - 40 donations for one important cause.

Our selection panel loved reading through all your nominations for Community Giving.

It wasn't easy to select the 40 successful nominations because there were so many fantastic causes to choose from. For a full list of the successful 40, head to our Community Giving page.

We've been speaking to some of the successful nominees about their work in the community and how they plan to use their £1,000 Community Giving donation.

Oasis Community Housing

People facing homelessness across the country can turn to Oasis Aquila Housing for support. This charity strives to offer hope to vulnerable people, by providing secure spaces to stay and running training and skills programmes. The £1,000 Community Giving donation goes towards their ‘Giving a Home’ appeal.

"We really can do so much with this donation to bring hope, not homelessness, and to make people feel safe and loved again. Thank you to everyone at Skipton for giving us a huge boost as we continue our mission to bring people home.”

“The donation will provide vital support, such as beds, cookers and washing machines, which will ensure that many vulnerable people are looking forward to a much brighter 2020! On behalf of the whole team at Charity Link and the clients that are being helped as a result of this kind donation, a huge thank you.”

Steps to Hope

This Edinburgh-based charity helps the homeless and those suffering with addiction. The £1,000 Community Giving donation helps them continue providing vital services, such as one to one support sessions, referrals to rehabilitation and soup kitchens. These services are needed more than ever during the recent challenging months.

“This is a huge deal for us, as we rely solely on fundraising activity and donations. Due to the coronavirus crisis recovery services are limited, so we are offering as much support as we can to as many as we can.”
